CA is broke the proof is in the skateparks
My roommate the other day went to the skatepark down the road from where we live in Culver City. When he got back he said that there was some security guard there enforcing a helmet rule and that there where like 50 people out side that couldn’t ride. I kind of laughed it off thinking it wasn’t really that bad. Then today we went down to the skatepark in north Long Beach. Our friends there told us that the past few days/weeks that cops would surround the palace, raided the park and hand out fines to any one who was inside the park with out a helmet. They went on to say that age was not of their concern and handed out tickets to 8 year old and younger kids. I don’t recall how many people fell victim. They even ticketed the millions kids that saw the place as a concrete jungle gym with no intent to ride the ramps. Now I think that those kids shouldn’t play in the park and I about kill all of them with my bike on a daily basis there. But I think that just kicking them out may be more rational thinking. Also kids should wear helmets I am not against that but I am 25 and know my ability’s and know the risk I am taking. I have been doing it for 10 years now and should not have to be hassled by under paid police officers pulling the reverses Robin Hood just to make a few bucks for the state.
